Amir Guetta (FR/IL)

His journey into movement began with capoeira at the age of 13. After exploring dance, martial arts, parkour, and fluid motion, he turned to circus. He has collaborated with various companies around the world, drawing on his skills as an acrobat, dancer, and musician. Each collaboration has uniquely shaped his artistic path. He sees art as a voice for change, a platform to raise awareness about social issues.

Sar-Tan has been developed in an immersion residency in the codfish packaging and distribution industry in Ilhavo, Portugal, together with Bússola.

Sar-Tan: A Journey from the Past to an Uncertain Future.
Once upon a time, on a planet teeming with life, a delicate balance reigned. From the freezing lands to the humid jungles, every creature found its place in a magical tapestry of biodiversity. Yet, driven by insatiable desire, a force began to unsettle this equilibrium.
In our relentless pursuit of more, in our unceasing search for power—often achieved at the expense of others—this unyielding drive undermines our shared humanity and disrupts the natural order, urging us to pause and reflect on the true cost of our actions.

Sar-Tan is a tryout—a fragile moment of sharing and exploring with us the “destroyer” of the planet, inviting us to consider together where more we can go from here. It is presented as a performance blend of live music, acrobatic movement, dance, and balance that unfolds as a short journey from a serene past to an uncertain future. Through a series of evocative scenes, this work-in-progress gently invites reflection on our collective impact on the natural balance and the direction we choose to take.
Sar-Tan seeks to foster a sense of togetherness and shared responsibility-a humble call to reconsider our ecological footprint and imagine a future where art and environmental care coexist in harmony. In this experimental performance, the boundaries between performer and its time to make a change. Lets change the way we eat, the way we live, and lets change the way we treat each other!
