Maritime Workshop Hall 16 is an association-based conservation workshop, founded in 2017 to support the living, maritime cultural heritage. The association strengthens and develops the maritime communities, develops events and disseminates the maritime history of Helsingør. The workshop is situated in one of the old shipyard halls and functions as an active workshop and knowledge sharing institution for practical ship preservation and restoration of maritime cultural heritage. It is open for visitors to experience the craftsmanship and has a state-of-the-art wood workshop in Hall 18, which is financed by local companies, foundations, and other sponsors. The workshop is used weekly by between 20 and 50 members, who through community and passion contribute to creating life in the harbor and vessels on the water throughout the year.
