Founded in 1492 in the Vosges and now a subsidiary of the Italian F.I.L.A. Arches is a paper mill that offers the widest range of art papers manufactured in round forms. By choosing to maintain the traditional gelatin sizing method to preserve the high quality of its papers, this historic paper mill has become a world reference. The paper mill has been awarded the “Living Heritage Company” label, which rewards its ancestral know-how in the manufacture of top-of-the-range papers.
As a company committed to sustainability, all manufacturing processes save water, optimise recycling and reduce material wastage.
All the raw materials used on the site comply with European REACH regulations, which protect human health and the environment. Furthermore, “made in France” production is an integral part of the social concerns of the Arches Paper Mill, which promotes local employment and participates in the transmission of know-how specific to the paper industry.
