The National Center for Circus Arts

The National Center for Circus Arts is a higher education and research establishment created in 1985 at the initiative of the ministry of Culture. More than 400 artists from 35 different countries have graduated from its National Higher School, and are now major players on the international contemporary circus scene. The Centre national des arts of the circus arts is a place dedicated to education, innovation and research with : - a circus arts college, and a professional integration unit that includes a collective end-of-study show and personalised support for the students’ individual projects; - lifelong learning which includes continuing professional training of performing arts professionals the performing arts, training of trainers, preparation for the State diploma of circus teachers, the validation of acquired experience; - a resource and research centre and research centre, associated with the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), a member of Collex.
