The boat building education at U/NORD is a national school for sail makers and boat builders.
As boat builders, students work to build, maintain, repair, and equip the interior of motorboats, sailboats, and ships. During the 4 1/2 years of education the students learn to handle machines and tools and how to shape and process materials so that they can withstand all kinds of weather.
The students are taught to draw up line drawings and apartment design, cast in fiberglass and carbon fiber, process and weld metal, shape boats in wood, fiberglass, and veneer, carry out surface treatment and finishing work and carry out technical installations and engine installations.
